Would you worship an evil god?
Let's say that God is evil, and provides absolute indisputable proof of his existence. But he's evil. He does things like torture people for no reason, kill huge numbers of people, advocates slavery, advocates bigotry, and so on.
Would you worship this God? Is it ethical to worship this God?

I used to be a Christian, so yes, I guess I would worship an evil god.
It never proved its existence of course, but I had no doubt it existed at the time.

Of course not. To worship one means to find them worthy.
Worship = "worth ship"
The Lord God is Worthy.
Psalm 18:3 KJV — I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised.

The Christian god is a vindictive, self centered being that kills multitudes for the imagined sins of a few. That is MY version of an evil god.

God is Good. He did create evil so man may know what good and evil is. That is why we are all hear.

Either this Satan dude walks all over this god character doing whatever he likes without god's permission and with total impunity, which means that this god of yours is NOT all powerful...or god allows Satan to use his supernatural powers against mere mortal humans, which means god is evil...your choice....

sounds like Satan or the wicked spirit persons or angels. Does not sound like God at all who loves us and he does not torture people.

We already say that the christian god is evil. Have you not read your bible? Even it says that god is angry and jealous. I would not worship this god even if anyone could prove it was existent.

First: there will be no one to rescue those who show contempt for their maker. That means you're a goner.
Second: I wouldn't worship God if he didn't punish evil.
So I bid you good luck on Judgment Day (where you won't get a say).

The God of the bible, Jehovah, advocates none of these things; he is a God of love, as 1 John 4:8 shows. To learn the truth about God and his word the bible and to clear up any misconceptions, please visit jw.org.

So do you decide for everyone what is and is not evil? Do we take a vote on it sort of like they did in Nazi Germany?
Anyway, God is not evil, so your question is mute.
