Did Carnival do away with the Captain's cocktail party? I haven't cruised since 2009 with them but would like to know.?

There's always an evening with a free drink, and the Captain and crew are around in the public areas to greet and talk to people. It's on one of the formal nights. Then there's the reception for past cruisers- is that what you're talking about? You get an invitation, and there are drinks and food in a private room.

My last cruises were in 2019 and they were still doing the Captain's party on each sailing we attended, but you had to reserve it. My cruises for 2020 were pushed back again to 2022 but I'm hoping we can still go. I really miss cruising!
