He's adding poison pills to get Democrats to vote against the bill so he can blame them when Americans complain about not getting an additional $2000 in COVID aid.

Mitch is authoritarianism running amok. It's his job to negotiate and compromise. He doesn't do this. In fact, most bills die on his desk as he doesn't want to be bothered. That's the epitome of obstinacy personified by today's right wing ... zero tolerance ... no flexibility.
