What are some alternatives to NAMI?

 I am looking for some groups that are better than NAMI. I dislike some of the stances of NAMI as well as who funds the group.

    Look for groups for the specific type of mental condition involved.  It wasn't clear if you wanted to volunteer or be part of a support group.
