Will diesel fuel and regular gas powered cars go extinct by 2030? Will electric cars be the new normal?

Saw a yahoo article on it. So what does this mean?

Gas vehicles may not be manufactured as much but it will be two hundred years before they finally end up in museums.  Keep in mind that cars made a hundred years ago are still running and many of them are driven for fun.

No. Taxpayers are becoming fed-up shoveling out $Billions to prop up environmentally UNfriendly electric vehicles and their toxic wind/solar power sources.  A true, clean, renewable energy source has yet to be found and until catastrophic, man-made global warming claims can be proven without fabricating 'evidence', there is no point in wasting any more time or money on this nonsense.

It will happen in time, although not by 2030 in the USA.  People are too find of their gas guzzlers.  They'll probably go for hybrids which are gas burners with electric transmission.  If everyone goes for electric cars, it will still be necessary to generate the electricity.  There is not sufficient capacity to generate it all with windfarms and solar panels, so we'll continue to burn oil for the foreseeable future.

Not a chance, the oil industry will never let their power go
