The measurement of time began with the invention of sundials in ancient Egypt some time prior to 1500 B.C. Update 9 hours later: Humans have the ability to remember the past and anticipate the future. Time is a concept, created for the purpose of understanding, and using this ability, and as a means of communicating about change.
