A lot more than it does to live elsewhere in the UK, rent a room in an HMO or a three bed house in other parts of the UK

Queen Elizabeth I was the last Queen of 'England' She died in 1603 and lived at Richmond Palace

In central London you are looking at. £1500 -2000 a month for even a tiny flat, and that’s by no means in the best areas.

Outer suburbs , you could get a small house for the same.

There are only a few cities in the world , that are more expensive. If the Queen is in London, Buckingham palace is probably Westminster, or she may be at Windsor Castle which is just outside of West London.

    Lots.

Specifics depend on where you live, and how you live (ie whether you share a flat with others, or have a place of your own).

Best is determined by your budget, and what you need to be close to - eg work, transport etc

Less expensive than New York. The best places to live are the most expensive, eg Belgravia and Mayfair, although the most expensive streets are in Kensington and Hampstead. The Queen of the UK lives full time at Windsor Castle (not in London) but her London base when she is there is Buckingham Palace and that is in the City of Westminster.

if you have to ask you can't afford it.

Prices will vary by location, renting? Buying?  Alone? with partner or family?Sharing ?   The Queen lives for the most part in Buckingham palace of course and has for decades.
