isn't it mindblowing that only 490 people died of Covid in China, meanwhile in the US we are well past 500K dead?

and the population of the US is less than a fourth that of China

If  you ACTUALLY believe  anything put out by the PRC  GOVT  as  ACTUAL  truth regarding the death numbers due to Covid- 19, you really need  to try some other sources of information??

Their, the PRC,  numbers are statistically impossible, they allowed  1 million people to leave  Wuhan to attend traditional  family celebrations, 24 hrs  hours,  before the alleged "LOCKDOWN".

It's not as surprising when you consider that the U.S. counts all deaths as COVID-19 mortalities if the patient contracted the virus, regardless weather or not it directly caused a loss of life.  This includes nursing home deaths and some vehicle fatalities.  Deaths are counted as COVID-19 mortalities if there is any suspicion of infection, even without confirmation. In addition, there are more than 200 types corona viruses, many will cause flu symptoms.  These can cause a positive test result for COVID-19.  Finally, the monetary incentive for a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is 3 times higher (~12,000 vs ~4,000 USD) than for a flu diagnosis.

Because China actually responded. They shut things down, required people to wear masks and stay in doors, provided stuff to local businesses to help prevent the spread, etc. When people got sick, they went to quarantine facilities where they were fully taken care of, while in the US, no one got any care and were forced to work even while sick to spread the disease.

Pathetic sad Americans can't cope with the fact their system sucks so they claim China must be making it all up, as if a country as big as China could get away with such an enormous lie. China is one of the only major economies to have economic growth in 2020 because of their response. You can cope all you want by telling yourself sweet little lies at night that China did not have a good response, but it doesn't change the real-world reality that COVID has only strengthened China's position as a world superpower.

    Both sides lie , a lot .

Not all deaths blamed on Covid 19 were caused by the virus .

How many of these people would have died anyway ?

    Only 2 answers.

    1). China had the vaccine

2). China lied about how many died

China experienced SARS in around 2003, so it was more prepared for a pandemic. The Chinese government could impose strict lockdowns in many of the countys, whereas the culture of Americans is to have their own independent will.

The previous US President also was not a firm believer of a total lockdown. Dr Fauci and the President had some quibbles too.

That assumes that you believe the numbers coming from China which are likely underreported. Still the US has the most deaths world-wide including countries with much larger populations (China and India).

A lot of things about the whole outbreak are mind blowing for example the UK were the first to pass a vaccine and start vaccinating their people.

Its mind blowing that China is way behind with vaccinating, on a per capita basis, is behind with this, even when it was the first country to to report the outbreak.

If we had worn our masks and stayed home, we could have greatly reduced the number of deaths, too. But no! We had to be "free"! Free and dead.
