Is $6,000 enough to visit the casino?

I will be 21 next week and have been saving for the past year and a half for my big day at the casino.  My friend visited one and ended up winning $150,000.  I am planning to take the $6,000 I have saved and looking forward to big winnings.

You aren't going to have big winnings. Use your $6000 for something better.

A million will not be enough if you bet it all on one chance. Divide the hours that you plan to play for your trip into 6,000. Lets say 20 hours. (6000/20= 300) per hour. I can tell you that a dollar slot machine can gobble up 300 in 10 minutes.

My advice is once you know how much per hour, play how you want. Blow it all at once, or play penny slots, or a slower table game, what ever, but don't spent more than that amount per hour.

Your goal is to have fun your entire trip, even if you spent it all, it will be a fun experience.

Just keep in mind that you are Supposed to fail. Casinos would not exist if they didn't make money.

Casinos are not that big of a deal. The house always wins and if you happen to get on a lucky streak they think you are cheating. Play a few card games, get a few drinks and have fun. I would only bring 500.00 and when it is gone then I would leave.

Don’t ! How do you know your friend won ?? Maybe your friend did but must have been extremely lucky. If you have no problem loosing that sum of money then do it . If you will be devastated then don’t !!! Most likely you will be going home with nothing. Go out have fun with a few hundred and maybe you can do well. Once you spend that ...leave.

i could think of a lot better ways to spend $6,000...your friend was extremely lucky.  99% of everyone else goes broke
