How do I get a travel (tourist) visa for Eritrea as a U.S. citizen?
I am a U.S. citizen and I am very interested in traveling to Asmara in Eritrea. However, I have heard the visa for this country is rather difficult to get for U.S. citizens. What would be the easiest way to get this tourist visa?

You apply to the government of Eritrea. I have never heard of any way to get a visa for any country except by applying to its government. And right now, the Eritrean government is not issuing any visas at all, to anyone from anywhere. You could easily have found this out by googling.
