Is pumping blood energetically wastefully like the incandescent lightbulb?
The light bulb gives off heat which is one measure of the electricity that is not being used to create light. Are pumping blood or other systems of the human body wasteful in this way? Does circulation experience friction that creates heat and sound or anything like this?
