Yes. Why would this not be allowed? Many families name children after parents or other relatives. It is very possible to just use the same middle name and different first names... or even the same first name but different middle names. Some choose to name them 100% after the relative, hence the case of "so-and-so Jr."/"so-and-so the second, so-and-so the 3rd, etc. Why would you not be allowed to name your child after their father?
