How do I get a new windows install disc? Windows won’t install?
My computer had some issues and I decided to upgrade the main board and processor to speed up the system.
I replaced the main board and processor with an ASUS main board with an intel I5 processor. I had to replace the RAM too and got 8gb of ram in the system.
I also replaced the HDD with an SSD and decided to upgrade to a recent AMD Radeon Card for graphics.
I was able to keep the CD-ROM drive and had to rig up a way to link the 3 and 5 inch floppy drives up via an auxillary floppy controller via an internal usb port as the new main board lacked a floppy controller.
I had to find a new modem that fit pci express as the main board only had ethernet.
I went to install windows ME on the system and it worked like crap. It didn’t work with the hardware.
Apparently my install disc is bad, and where would I get a new windows ME disc?

Don't listen to the guys saying windows ME won't work with new PC's.
Just use kernelex, install the drivers with windows 7 compatibility mode and enjoy.
And if you get an error while installing the OS, try 98 SE/FE or 95 OSR 2.

microsoft concludes that your Windows license has expired [all of your key parts are new] and thus you BUY a new license and, with that, download the Windows installation

easy just buy it , its only worth $150 . you know its for the old computer and you replace everything with new you can afford the upgrade then you can afford windows ..

I'm not sure you can but you could try the Microsoft site but I don't remember seeing it there myself just a card with a download code even in the stores and personally I think it was the WORSE way to do it but I do understand WHY...
It's a Catch 22 so you may need to just by a new machine because the processor and memory may be too small to run it...

Hopefully you realize that Microsoft only sold ME for about 6 months in 2000. Good luck find a disc for it.
The hardware drivers in ME are going to be 20 years out of date. They will not work with the new hardware. ME is not compatible with the new system. There is no way you are going to get it work.

The i5 won't support ME or any new graphics card.
Your trolling attempt is annoying and not in the least bit amusing or you are a moron.

You can download Windows from Microsoft. That said, you will not be able to install ME on a new mainboard, as there are probably things on that board that will not have ME Drivers.
These "old windows on new system" questions are both annoying and stupid.
