my coworker is 63 and he tells me that he is too old to like hip hop, i told him that there are men his age that enjoy hip hop. is he wrong ?

I'm 51 and I like hip-hop, and hip-hop was already around at least 10 years when I started listening to it in the 80s with bands like RunDMC and Beastie Boys. And TONS of my friends liked it and still do. You know, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm thinking Sugar Hill's DJ Wonder Mike's got to be about 63.

Hip Hop rap is garbage. He is right.

Of course he's wrong. Just for one example, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, who is 67 years old, is a hip-hop fan. She likes Public Enemy, Nas, Run-DMC, and Schooly D.

I'm 61 and I don't even know what hip hop is.

I don't know any 63 year olds who are even interested in hip hop.
