What attracted you to Japan in the first place?

    The movie Black Rain (1989). It looked so cool as a kid, since then I always wanted to visit there

    My parents took my brother and I to Japan on a visit in 1983.

    I have been interested ever since.

    We flew into Narita, and I was transfixed by the culture, sounds, and smells.

    I still watch NHK to this day, and watch the Grand Sumo Tournament when I can.

    Enho is my favorite, as he is only a few kilos heavier than I.

    It was disappointing to see him sent down to Juryo.
