Let's forget human opinion and focus on God's Word:
Our souls are eternal, our spiritual choices are eternal---be it for, or against God. The righteous will enjoy everlasting life and the wicked, everlasting torture. Now, Choose LIFE! [Deuteronomy 30:19]
[Psalm 9:17] The wicked will return to Sheol, even all the nations who forget God.
Here 'sheol' signifies the place of torment, commonly called Hell, where devils and damned spirits are; so too the souls of the wicked, immediately upon their departure from their bodies [Luke 16:23-24; 23:43]; [Acts 7:56-59]
[Proverbs 15:24] The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from Hell below.

antonius, you have absolutely no evidence for what you believe. Why do you always act out of spite? Does it make you feel better or less bad? What would you equate to righteousness regarding evil? Should not evil endure the punishment it deserves, despite the multiple warnings and a way to escape Jesus’ wrath for which He paid with His own blood?
If God spared not the angels that sinned, unbelievers must know what awaits them [2 Peter 2:4].
Maybe you should give Travis Greene a call.

I believe what the Bible says about that. At death the body begins to decay and has to be disposed of, but then "the spirit returns to God who gave it", for judgment (still a future event). The invisible, spiritual part of the person finds itself in one of two places, as Jesus explained in Luke 16:19-31. Then will come the Day of Resurrection and Judgment when Christ raises up a new body for every single person who has died, so that they can stand for Judgment. Read about that in Revelation 20:11-15, see also Ecclesiastes. ch. 12.
The resurrection of all the dead, with new resurrection bodies that will 'clothe' the departed souls/spirits of the dead is guaranteed in that the crucified Christ was resurrected with His special body. Read 1 Corinthians ch. 15 for all of that and more. It's all explained in the Bible, and that's what I believe - the Bible.

The human soul leaves the body immediately upon death then instantly appears before the LORD GOD to be judged if passing into Heaven with HIM or descend into Hell to spend eternity being tortured by the Devil.
Non-believer idiot atheists who believe the universe created itself will be members of the latter.

Nothing happens to the dead; they are dead and that is the end of that life, Anything else is pure nonsense. The dead body that is buried will decompose or in the case of cremation the ashes will remain in a container until water enters and the ashes will be gone. The dead do not return to life and a small pile of ashes will not rise up as a living person.

This amazing life is the only life there is. When you are dead, it's like before you were conceived. No darkness. No light. No noise. No silence. No laughter. No tears. No awareness whatsoever. You will not know you are dead. You will not know you ever existed. There is nothing to fear.
As a living person, you have 5 senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, touch. Your brain processes sensory input. Your brain remembers, rationalizes, questions, thinks! When you die, you cease to exist. You have no senses and no processor.Live your life now, with love and compassion!

We meet God face to face, are judged by Him, and allowed to go on to the eternal existence we have freely chosen during our life on Earth - Heaven or Hell.

I don't have a belief, that is too strong of a word. I wonder about it though. Does all our accumulated knowledge, accomplishments, experiences all turn to dust in the wind or does consciousness move on to somewhere else? I think it is an interesting question that too many are willing to exploit the anxiety around finding the answer.

It seems you stay in your coffin. Or are in the air for a while and are ash, if you're burnt
There are reports of some people returning after death ; or meeting relatives etc., when one's close to death
Strange things can happen when one's alive ; so who knows about death
Some cases of poltergeists seem convincing : a force that is invisible to us. Perhaps that force can enter a living body ; and remain active outside the dead body. The body not being exclusively ONE either ; but having many different features
