Can I leave off my middle name on my passport?

I am applying for the first time for my passport, and I would like to omit or only have the initial of my middle name. Is this allowed or are you supposed to provide the full middle name?

The name on your passport should match the name on whatever identification you submit with your passport application.  If your middle name is on that (usually your license), then it should be on your passport.

You are supposed to provide your full name.

Omitting any part of it may lead to difficulties in the future.

No, a passport is one of the best and most important documents to prove your identity and your middle name should be fully revealed.

Well if you do leave it out.....it's not really you is it? Full name or its tech illegal.

If you want to. I don't know what the legal precautions would be.
