studies show that asians are the least likely to own a dog or a cat compared to other races. is it because they rather eat them ?
i am not saying that ALL asians eat cats or dogs. my point is that maybe asians are LESS likely to own dogs or cats because they don't see them as companions the same way other races do, so they are more likely to eat them instead?

Well, Japanese go overboard with their cats and dogs and actually allow them to eat at the table with the people....it’s taboo for them to eat these animals as it is for White Americans. It is Chinese people in China, primarily in the rural areas (according to a Chinese immigrant friend of mine) who eat these animals....kind of like in the rural areas of America tending to eat squirrel and possum. Also Vietnam and South Korea eat them.
