Creepy men show more interest than women have, women are more interested in attractive men, so unattractive men are more likely to be creepy?

People often refute the claim that women find unattractive men disproportionately creepy.

They say that the main factor in a man being creepy is his display of interest in a woman who isn't interested in him. There are plenty of other factors, but they boil down to disproportionate interest.

Here's the thing: If a man is attractive, he will have to be creepier than an unattractive man before he is considered to be a creep.

So yes, unattractive men are more likely to be considered creepy, even if their behavior doesn't reach the higher standard for creepiness that's applied to attractive men.

That's not saying that attractive men can't be creepy or that unattractive men are always creepy.
