Does anyone know what is wrong with Melinda Doolittle's neck?

I think it is a combination of the clothes she wears and her shyness/insecurity she seems to have. I really like her though. She does not EVEN have the attitude like so many of the contestants have had: that they are the best and better than everyone. It is one thing to be confident, but that attitude bothers me. I just wish Melinda could bottle some of that confidence from the others. She is AWESOME!

Nothing................... She just has condfidence issues. Either way she is still the best and she is going to win!!!!!!!!!I think we all wish we could be as good as singers like her, make it as far as she has. I have noticed her kind of shrugging her shoulders but like I said, I always assumed it was just confidence issues b/c when she first started, she would do the same thing. She was very shy and this all has happened so quickly.It is only natural that she hasn't quite gotten over her shyness completely, who used to be shy ever does?I give her praise though b/c she has made it so far and to such high heights, always climbing her to the top! I'm glad that she chose to go on this Seasons American Idol. This decision greatly affected and shapened her whole life. She will get very far and make tons of cds. I know she will! I have complete faith in that and in her! Way to go, Melinda!!!!!!!!!! I was shy too when I was a little girl and sometimes besides being blunt and aggressive all the time( I'm an Aries) I can always be passive and shy just as easily!

No, I personally have not heard of any medical reason for the appearance of her neck or lack of. I too suffer from what the public calls "no neck". With that said, I think Melinda is extremely talented and I expect that we are all looking at (or some of you are looking at only "a part of") The Next American Idol !!.....Best of Luck Melinda and Congrats in Advance!

Man, are you a pack of losers...what's with the whiners here, are you just angry you appeared in an Idol "freaks" episode? The girl can sing, that is the only important thing. She will win. All you Sanjaya voters, turn off the TV, close the TeenBeat magazine, and do your homework.

There's nothing medically wrong with her. She just has a short neck. And she does have an awesome voice!!!!!

Doolittle is a petite lady with a short neck. There's nothing she can do about that. Bibio101, on the other hand, certainly can, and should, do something about his ignorance.

I agree with Lord Z. I think it's her hairdo as well. I liked the old one better. But her voice rocks either way.

And she's already a household name. She doesn't and won't worry what people gotta say about her neck.

I'm with that guy, scoliosis, osteperosis, something that's messed up with her bone structure. Great voice though!
