Smell.....what smell?

For all you chem geeks out there, what is your favorite smelling chemical and your least favorite. I think that chloroform smells like flowers and sunshine and all good things, while pyridine smells like evil incarnate.

I just hate the smells of ammonia (it dissolves in the mucus so you can smell it whole day long... pfew) and pyridine.

Thymol and carvacrol smell great... and esters, too... fruity...

My favorites are definitely esters. You can make esters of any smell (bananas, flowers, honey, etc.). My least favorite is when zinc is mixed with hydrochloric acid. This makes a rotten fish kind of smell.
