Do people who think little bikes are not good for beginners or vets, fun, fast .?

... have some sort of weight issue, inferiority complex, .... or are they all from Texas? Whatcha gonna say when I start promoting the Honda CBR125 as a great starter bike. Which it is. As of '07 no longer only available in Europe where it's been the best selling motorcycle in Britain. Now available on the North American continent in Canada. I'm buyin' one to put in a line with my 250 Ninja, 1000 R1 and 1203 Buell! Think big - Ride small

Little bikes are fun, they don't have all the inertia in the motor so you can just rail the corners plus my vtr250 is so slow I can basically run it hard using all the gears to red line. I cant ride my R1 or sb6 like that on the street, not w/o fear of a big ticket, or speeds so high my life would be in serious jeopardy. I'm also like 6'3" 250 and yes its great fun whipping up on 600s and liter bikes thru the twisties.

Here in PA they offer free motorcycle safety course and provide motorcycles for the course, They are 250's and most of them are Honda Shadows. These are good training cycles and are not very expensive. They recommend bike no smaller than 250's because this is usually what is needed to keep up with highway traffic. This is not to say anything smaller can't go 65 mph, it is being able to maintain this speed for longer periods of time without risking mechanical breakdowns.

I have several bikes of which most are of the 600 lb. class or more, However I always keep an older 250 or smaller street bike on hand. I love to take them out and play on them around town. They are by far more maneuverable than the bigger scooters. And if you drop it , its far easier to pick up than a monster.

curently ride a modified FJ1100 yamaha..

can still have fun on my sons 125 Kawasaki...

any bikes fun... its not the size of the bike...Its the attitude of the rider.......flat out on a 125 Kwaka ...your on the edge & having a ball.....(throwing it down the road at 50 MPH or throwing it down the road at 100MPH...it can still hurt..LOL)

They disappear in traffic and visibility is a major concern for all riders. If it was a great starter bike, MSF would be training on it.

I wouldn't put one in line with my VLX, VF-750, GL1500-C, and I wouldn't take any of your scoots on a real ride.

I actually think under powered bikes are a ton of fun, either road or dirt bikes.
