Day trip to Singapore from Hong Kong possibility?

Hi! I shall be in Hong Kong in July for the football tournament, but I shall also be doing day trips... Macau for sure, China if I sort out a visa... but if I can't get that in time(due to being in Sweden next week & the week after),I would love to go to Singapore... I have been several times in the past and miss it a lot: in fact the only reason I DIDN'T go there & then just travel to Hong Kong for the football is that it was £300 more in air fare.

I HAVE seen a return flight on JetStar for £90, alas I have already paid my hotel bill in Hong Kong IN FULL and the only way I could spend more than an hour (Changi airport is fantastic, but not worth paying £90 to go see it unless I was a plane spotter!) in Singapore would be to travel in the morning & stay overnight before travelling back.

Is there any other way for a similar price (no more than about £110 or $1800 - $2000 (HKD not USD!!!!) that I could go for a day trip to Singapore and have at least 6 hours there?

Thanks :-)

Your options are Cathay, Singapore or Jetstar. I can't see you getting a cheap price with SQ or CX so I reckon you are stuck with 3K (Jetstar). If it was me I would say to hell with the hotel, just go with Jetstar and book a night in the Phoenix on Orchard Rd, make sure the hotel in HK knows that you will be away for one night (they may even give you a rebate).

Remeber, you will never get another chance to go to SIN for such a little a mount of money, it'll be worth it because Gramophone and Funan are just too alluring for you lol!

I'm making a return trip from Singapore to HK in early July. Bec direct flight on Jetstar to HK is not that cheap, I'm going via Macau on Tiger Airways (http://www.tigerairways.com)/ and paying about S$190 (equiv 65 pounds?) after taxes, etc.

Since you are going to be in Macau anyway, check out this option. I believe the return ferry bet Macau and HK costs HK$300.

You can also consider flying one way by Tiger (mid-nite flight costs only HK$100 !) and other way by Jetstar to get the best flight times.

6 to 7 days in Hong Kong on account that u are extra attracted to nature and swimming interior the sea . yet maximum persons commute to HK and Sin for procuring and ingesting . Singapore do no longer probably have great beaches . i would not pick to swim interior the water right here !
