Does the 18-135 nikon have m/a mode?

Yes. From the B&H Photo description:
" M/A mode allows rapid switching between autofocus and manual even during AF servo operation, with virtually no time lag."
Oddly, I don't see this on the Nikon website. I _think_ I read somewhere that we can expect to see this on all future AF-S lenses, but I am not positive about this.
