I was thinking of using Yahoo Answers to do some reasearch, what do you think?

What kind of research?

I think you can meet some very knowledgeable people here. In the mathematics forum, I am amazed how many good mathematicians use yahoo and it is interesting to talk to them and I love learning from their questions and answers.

I am sure that it is the same in other areas.

If someone does not personally know an answer, then maybe they know someone who can or can help you find where to look, so I definitely think it is great.

Using yahoo however is not a guarantee that you will find answers for what you need, so it should not be a replacement for other forms of research but a supplement.

Of the general population that uses Internet and a re a bit addicted to Y!A.

I used chat 7 years ago to make survey for essay I was writing for Sociology class. I even stated in it that I have made survey on Internet.

Also, I have asked everyone that answered to tell me if they are male or female and how old they are, so I included all that in survey.

I Think It Won't Hurt . If u thinking using yahoo answers to do some reaseach. It just Depend What kind of reasearch You wanna to do.May be you can get some good result.

No. You could ask a load of mental patients the same questions and see how amazingly similar your answers will be. That would be interesting research.

Just like “Ask the Audience” on “ Millionaire” it will give a representation of the opinion of the general public..

I' m not sure.coz lots of personal data of Q&A users necessary in such research are unknown
