Dog, vomiting, mucus in poop, etc?

Hi this question is about my bf's dog. Basically he has a sensitive stomach, so we put him on sensitive tummy dog food two days ago. Today he poo'd a bunch of mucus-ey covered well poops. and then proceeeded to throw up in the garage twice (his vomit was yellow, bile?). I'm really worried about him, and need to convince my bf to take him to the vet soon, I cant take him myself since we just moved here and I dont have a car etc. He eats his food a LOT, lot more then usual, because of my ferret, hes always afraid hes going to eat it.

His food wasnt slowly transitioned to the food hes eatting now. I wouldn't be so worried if it was just the pooping but hes throwing up after? Is there anything I can give him to make him feel better? I've never had a dog, so I know nothing >.<

My dog had something like your problem.it was called collitus (sensitive stomach lining). The vet gave him a viral injection and he was fasted for 12 hours. He was then put on rehydration food and needed medcine.he know has special science plan food.

The vets then said that he could be red meat or dairy intollerant so cut out tid bits.if i were you convince your friend to take the dog to the vets.

    Hope it helped

This is why you are supposed to slowly transition to different foods, especially when the dog already has a sensitive tummy. Mix in some of his old food with the new food, and start slowly transitioning now, that should keep him from vomiting as much.

And tell your bf that if the dog doesn't get better soon he's either taking it to the vet or your going to use his(your bf's) pillow to clean up the vomit ^_^

Any vomiting and diarrhea in a young puppy is a HUGE concern, because it can very well be parvo, especially when blood is in the stool. I would scrap his vet appointment for the morning and take him to the emergency clinic TONIGHT. Parvo is very serious, without treatment most pups die and even with treatment many die. It causes a severe dehydration and fluid therapy with electrolyte treatment is needed. The sooner it is caught the better, and could save you money in the long run because it may require less treatment. Tees information may be false, as well. If it IS parvo, then it's a virus that attacks the lining of the intestines. That is why there is such severe diarrhea. However, with a parvo pup in treatment, you actually want them to eat as much as they will take, because the food irritates the bowel lining and actually causes the skin to slough off even more, which helps rid the body of the virus faster.
