Is there a new line of Macbooks?
I went to get a Macbook a week ago but the guy at Best Buy told me to wait 3 weeks because there would be a new version.. I looked at their site and it shows the only new lines are the Air and Pro, while I just want the basic one. Is there a new line of the basic Macbook and does anyone know how it's better than the version out right now?
And.. would anyone happen to know the exact Canadian release date?

Apple will sometimes come out with some upgrades after summer, but you can't count on it.
To the other poster: Apple copied Sony? Boy, have you got it all bass-akwards.

No there aren't. Apple only releases new computers around it's MacWorld festival.
So if there were, expect them another year from now. That guy was probably just joking.
I'm using a Mac right now and it's ok. Though I think I'm going to go back to my Sony Vaio anyways. It seems like Apple copied them.
And there's not much wrong with the current MacBook line. Always waiting for the latest and the greatest isn't a good idea. Things change all the time. Take what's there now and life life as if there were no tomorrow. Though I'd suggest you skip on Leopard. Too many issues. Get Tiger.
@Gromit80 : It is true. How about doing some research? Look at Sony Vaio laptops before or around 2005, and you'll notice they have very similar features to Apple's MacBook line, yet they were made right before MacBooks came.
