Blackberry Internet Solution?

Hello everyone. My boyfriend is looking at buying a blackberry but has been given the option of adding 'blackberry internet solution' into his package. However the phone's website doesn't give any information as to what this is? He will be using the phone to receive work emails and respond to them using his works website. Anyone who could tell us what this is and whether it would be beneficial to him as he would have to pay extra for this service, which is pointless if he doesn't need it. Thanks

Update:

Thanks for letting us know that Daxx! Really helpful.

Its a vodafone UK contract.

Does it include internet browsing too?

Is it unlimited- if not what is the limit?

Thanks everyone

Essentially, for most of the GSM world, there are two signals that a blackberry cares about. At a basic level, that is voice (GSM) and data (GPRS). So - on a blackberry you need a voice plan and a data plan to talk to both. And, my guess is the internet solution is that - having the ability to connect to the internet. It should add about $40-50 US to the monthly bill.

And - if you find that you don't need it, don't get a blackberry. They are built for data after all. And don't get the pearl. Stick with a curve or 88xx model.

you need to have a data plan (which is the 'bb internet solution' ) to send/receive e-mail, send PIN (bb 2 bb) and browse the internet.
