Disconnecting problems while playing cod4?

Question

When my bf and I play cod 4, after a game or two it will disconnect both of us from the internets. Both our computers are connected to the same router, my comp is connected by WiFi.

We used to play World of Warcraft together, and never got disconnected like this.

Is it the router or the game? How can I fix it?

Try playing WOW again and see if the issue occurs.  Try a different game, try a smaller game with less people and see if the problem still occurs.  I assume you're talking about PC gaming and not console so check out your firewall settings and see if there's anything that would be problematic.

it may merely be a non everlasting problem with the psnetwork. i'm getting that sometimes at specific circumstances of the day. Just in case "the internet", no s. It could be that your anti-virus is causing problems, try turning it off while you play, and remember to turn it back on when your done.
