Does Rogers charge extra to the sender if they send a txt msg to someone they're unaware is out of the country
See, I'm about to leave for a week to the States from Canada. My mom doesn't want me bragging to everyone that nobody's going to be home for a week, so fine, I'll give that to her.
But I'm slightly worried that a friend might send me a text message any time during the week. Just to make sure, will Rogers charge an extra fee if they send me a text message?

I'm not sure about your exact carrier, but I know that all of the carriers in the states don't charge extra for texting if we're in canada. So, I don't THINK that they will, but it'd be best to check with them to make sure.
EDIT: So, I just went and checked with their website, and it says that you'd have to have an international texting plan for $7 a month and that with that you'd get 50 international sent text messages and unlimited incoming text messages. But each additional message would be $0.20
