Have you seen a bad baseball game?

Thursday, I was in Great America Ballpark in Cincinnati to see the Reds and the Astro play baseball. In my 50 years of going to baseball games it was the worst game I have ever seen. Drop balls, players out there with no energy. One player came up with bases loaded and never took the bat off his shoulder, struck out looking, never swung at a pitch and wanted to argue with the ump about it. People started leaving in the 4th inning. The guy beside me says this is when I turn it off at home, their just bad. The kid beside my wife apologized to us because we traveled 3 hours to see the game and it was bad. We finally left in the 6st inning.

How can a team charge the public and put on such a poor display. We paid $65 (it was ladies night, so my wife ticket was 1/2 price) and would have had more fun watching my grandsons high school team. The Reds traded Josh Hamilton, leading the majors in RBI and an All Star and Ken Griffey Jr., on the down side of his career but still with 600 homers, and now have an outfield with a rookie who tried to make a basket catch and dropped the ball, and a center fielder hitting .190.

Has anybody experienced such poor play as I did at a baseball game.

With all due savour to the others who spoke decrease back this question, i'd favor to declare the very worst journey a baseball fan may have is listening to Joe dollar and Tim McCarver do the actual truth on Fox Saturday Baseball... with the exception of that, i have were given considered some grotesque topics in baseball, even with the indisputable fact that the hardest element to video show is at the same time as a tumbler receives drilled interior the face with a linecontinual ... it really is were given to be the important defenseless feeling interior the international .. I suggested it take position infinite years decrease back with the Yankees and red Sox .. I overlook about who the game enthusiasts in contact were, yet what made it worse replaced into that it replaced proper right into a meaningless sport, the effect replaced into already coming close to close to, and both the pitcher and hitter, i'm noticeably powerful, were September call-ups ... i do not undergo in concepts listening to about both participant after that Bobby Abreu hit a linecontinual that struck Nick Blackburn interior the top very last year ... you're in a position to favor to inform that he replaced into laid low with way of ability of it ... those grownup adult men are available to win, yet there's a line the position baseball ends and the human element starts off ... it truly is at the same time as it receives painful to video show

You don't get the best played baseball games by teams that are completely out of the race. The motivation sometimes isn't there combined with the fact that there are reasons why these teams are out of contention( alot of average to poor players/pitchers). In my opinion, the worse games are the 12-10 games where there is no pitching at all, tends to be poor defense/ defense execution and there are alot of cheap home runs because of wind or just parks that favor alot of HR's.

I was watching that game at home and got so sick of it that I shut it off around the 5th inning. It doesn't even look like the Reds are trying most of time. It is a bad time to be a Reds fan.

Last year I was home sick from school, and I was watching the Dodgers stinking it up against the Colorado Rockies who eventually went to the World Series to get owned by the Red Sox. Now the Rockies are horrible this season. :)

It's nice to believe all players are motivated to win. Truth is, a lot of players can't wait for the season to be over so they can spend time with their families, etc.
