When researching a career path, be sure to use the Occupational Outlook Handbook issued by the US Department of Labor. It is available at state employment agencies and most major libraries. The on-line website for Registered Nurses is given below.

It depends on where your located the salary varies by location and yes its a great career to get into. Nurses that earn their associates can make as much as a nurse with a four year degree but nurses with four year degrees can go on to make even more money and are able to get leadership positions. You can try checking into this website www.allnurses.com there is a lot of info on this site. I am also planning on starting my pre req in Jan of 09 good luck!

Nursing is a noble profession but one can earn 10 to 200 rupees an hours 1lac to 2.5 lac rupees in a year (India) depending upon your skill and efficiency. Nurse has to act as a mother to assist her patient as a child. Not only giving the treatment but behave as if she is family member of patient which help in fast recovery. It depends upon your thinking whether u want to help society and earn bread or u want only money. If u want only money than better go for bussiness. and if u want nobel Job that is earning your bread as well as service to needy then it is a good Job.

Depends on what section of work you go into. If you are single with no ties a traveling nurse makes really good money. 100,000 a year or more. Plus you get to travel all over. Also it has a lot to do with where you live. Sorry everyone makes different... experiance, section, and if you have 2 yr or 4yr degree.
