Wii Fit Question.....Why?

Okay, I work at a major retail store and I can't tell you how many people come in asking for a Wii Fit.

Now do they really think a plastic board is going to transform their life. I mean come on, when was the last time you heard someone say, I lost 50 lbs playing Nintendo! Never!

The one thing these millions of people need is a gym membership. That will provide them with real equipment and a great work out.

America needs to stop trying to have fun at everything they do. Working out is not neccesarily supposed to be fun. Hard work and dedication is going to get you where you want to be!

I got the wii fit about two weeks ago. my husband is in the army and works out all the time and i could go on post (12 miles plus traffic) and work out in front of all the army people for free but after the price of gas its not so free. there is a golds gym 2/10 of a mile from my house with a 90 membership fee and then 50 dollars a month. I am not overweight i am average. i just want to tone up. i got the wii fit because it did intrigue me and so far i love it. I'm not doing it to lose weight but i have. i have lost 2 lbs, and that doesn't matter to me but it is fun. my husbands friends come over and do the balance games to see who can get the better score and it is funny watching them. i still go the the gym about twice a week before i go to a store or something. but i do like it. no it's not going to help people lose a hundred pounds but maybe it will help america get off their couch and while watching tv be interacting with it.

    You're missing the point.

How much does a Gym Membership cost for... say... 6 months? A year? Compared to that, 250 + 80 for a virtual personal trainer is a bargain.

I have Wii Fit. No, I'm not so naive to think that it would "transform my life." In fact, I barely play it - my girlfriend uses it it more than I do. I'm more looking forward to the games coming that will use the balance board.

The games and exercises are fun, and trying to beat your high scores keeps you coming back for more. Tracking your weight helps you understand your health over time.

America has a lot of problems, don't get me wrong, but obesity and especially childhood obesity are among the worse. If this helps some kids drop a few pounds while still having some fun, then where is the problem?

Video games like Dance Dance revolution have helped a lot of people lose weight. Why get down on them for how they've done it?

Not everyone is comfortable working out in front of other people at the gym. The Wii Fit allows them to get off the couch and moving, in the comfort of their own home. Plus, it's a one-time purchase, as opposed to a monthly gym membership fee.

I don't see the Wii Fit as a bad thing. I think anything that gets people moving is a good thing, and I don't see why you should have a problem with it, or why it bothers you that customers are asking about it. It's really none of your business if they choose to go with a Wii Fit instead of a gym membership.

Wii fit is another game but it is fun to play and gets you moving. If you did it enough you would have better balance and stuff because there is yoga and strengh things. I think it is a really fun and I have lost a little bit of weight from it.

Wii fit is more for balance and muscle strengthening. Many rehab centers are using wii fits to help stroke victims to regain mobility/ strength. There will be more games coming out to use on the fit. Tony Hawk is working on a skate board game as we speak.

The only reason I would get wii fit is because it intrigues me. It looks intuitive. I know I wont lose weight and I don't expect to lose weight. I would expect to lose more weight playing wii sports than wii fit. I guess it could help with diet and other exercise. However the same people who depend on Wii Fit to lose weight are probably the same people blaming Mcdonald's for their obesity.

The Wii is definately truly easily worth the money. For you Wii in high quality condition/Plus subject, get Wii in high quality condition Plus simply by fact it has all the activites that Wii in high quality condition has plus extra beneficial. so which you would be able to desire to purchase a Wii and then get a Wii in high quality condition Plus equipment that includes the board and your set.

the easy way out is what everyone looks for, the wii fit is no exception. but the easy way out always leads to failure. but actually i played it and it was pretty fun, if not for a work out then for entertainment
