Bar Admission Michigan Character and Fitness Review?

This is going to probably sound strange, but I was wondering is there anything that I could legally do work wise that might interfere with my admission to the bar? I plan on going to law school, but while in college, I am considering working as a stripper. I've also thought about appearing in soft porn (no intercourse)...

I know I have to make sure that the opportunity is legitimate. My thoughts are that if it is not against the law to work in a certain capacity, it should be fine on the character and fitness review so long as I report it. I'm wondering if I am letting my parents' morals affect how I perceive my potential jobs might be seen. I really want to be a lawyer, so if this would stop me, I won't do it, but the extra money sure would be nice right now.

I did check the Michigan bar association website and it simply says that one must possess good moral character. What exactly does that mean? I am honest and law-abiding, and other than a couple impeding traffic tickets (one from a minor fender bender I had, the other when I lost track of my speed) I have never had any interactions with the law.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this in a respectful manner.

The character and fitness standards are "lower" than many people tend to assume. Basically, you are only going to have problems with felonies, crimes of dishonesty (any theft crime, fraud, false information, etc.), and if you are anything but completely honest on your bar application.

Since working as a stripper doesn't fall into any of the above categories, it shouldn't be a problem. Somewhere on the website is a hot line you can and talk to a reviewer. Just ask. Worst they can say is no.
