Should I start running?

My hamstring still hurts a little bit. On a scale 1-10 to ten it's about a 2 or 3. I'm 14 years old and have taken 24 days off and still hasn't healed. I went to go see the trainer but it didn't help. Any recommendations of who I can go see. Will it still hurt a little when it heals?

Don't push it too hard and your gonna be really out of shape because of all the time you took off. The thing you should od is take advil and ice it for 20 minutes then take it off for 40 mins and put it back on for 20 and take it off for another 40 do that about 4 times for like 3 days and you should feel a lot better.

Hamstrings are very delicate when it comes to running. What type of running are you doing? Whenever I had hamstring issues they put me in the pool with the aquajogger vest. Just keep asking around to see what other people who were successfull in the healing process, not someone who THINKS they know what they're talking about, have done.

When you do get back, make sure to stretch it without over stretching it and to maybe wrap it up. Again, I'm not a pro but I ran track from age 8 to 22. A trainer should have given you most of this information. They just suck.

yes definitely start running again. just not at full pace, go probably between 50%-75%. Also make sure you stretch really good before and after your done, this will ensure no damage to your hamstring. after you stretch, get a pack of ice and put it on your hamstring for 20 on and 20 off, do this for 2 hours or so. this will help it heal quicker.

If you take care of it, it won't hurt when it is healed. Go see a doctor at patient first or something and have them check it out. I suggest doing long walks or short easy runs with IMMEDIATE icing on it afterwards to see how it feels. who knows it might just need to be stretched, so make sure you stretch it but dont extend it. good luck.
