What happened to my gluteus?

It hurt 24 hours after I lifted weights and it started hurting and feels the same as it did and so far it's been 4 days. I know it's not torn. Do you think it's sprained, strained or just really sore? I run xc and when I go slow it hurts and fast don't feel it at all.

    If you haven't lifted for a long time, it is semi-normal. I used to be sore for a week, if I hadn't lifted or worked out in a couple weeks. But if this is not the case, you definitely f'ed up

    i am a cross country runner and nothing like that ever hurts me. so your screwed i'd go see a doctor.
