Help me with my backwalkover? ?

Hey. I need help. i have been working on my backwalkover for one year since last September till now and I somewhat have it except for some reason i can do the backbend and i'll kick over immediately but my feet will stay up in the air and go back down instead of over. I don't know why this ishappening. and my teacher says I'm good and I have it ut she just dosn't know why this is happening and she can't help me with it since she dosn't know. Help? What should I do to improve?

    what i did was practice doing it going down a hill a couple times before i practice doing it on flat ground. also, keep your arms locked in place.

    have a strong spotter hold you steady so you get the feel, have them help you less and less
