Puppies can be very expensive if they need vet care so please make sure you have sufficient funds to pay for everything, it is impossible to say how much you will have to spend on a puppy because nobody can predict if the puppy will require vet care puppies have accidents and get ill and vet bills can be huge, you can view the prices of other supplies needed for the puppy in online pet stores

My puppy was £800
her bed was £30
collar and lead £15
insurance £38 per month
vaccinations about £45
flea treatment £42
wormers £8
food £7 95 a bag
treats and toys about £30 a month
vet treatment though has cost the most insurance will not cover pre existing conditions and you have to pay excesses so I spent about £800 in the first few months and have not stopped spending at the vets since so start with a high budget and if you have money left over you can think yourself lucky
dogs can be very expensive just visit your local vets waiting room and listen to how much the bills come to

It depends cheap option is
Vacinnations - 30 - 40 pounds
Use a towl and bed sheets for now (rather than a bed that will be soiled in). MAybe get a plastic bed as well there around 4 pounds in wilkingsons.
get the food/water bowls from wilkingsons and toys and it will cost around 10-15 pounds.
Food is the most important, buy good food NOT pedigree puppy, bakers or and low % meat ingrediant.
Look at the back of the tin/bag and see the meat percentage it needs to be over 17%.
hope this helps

£30 for jags... that will include the boosters they need around a few months
£20 for a bed and some toys to keep it occupied
£5 for a collar and leash
£2 for 6 tins of food which should last around 12 days at that age (that is Asda or Tesco's own brand which I feed my pedigree puppy and he loves it... trick is not to get it used to the expensive stuff so it won't refuse this stuff)... so say that's around £15 for 3 months food.
£5 for some treats to keep and use to teach it tricks
So £30+£20+£5+£15+£5 is £75!!
Not alot considering it's over 3 months or so!
(But the cost of the puppy might be high depending on the breed)
xx
Why the thumbs down?!?!
I got the jags for £30 at my local vets and it included boosters so don't know where you are getting 50-80 from! And as for insurance you usually get a deal which gives you 2 months free when registering at a new vets! Why would the dog need to be spayed?? It's only a puppy and that only needs to be done if it's a problem to the owner!

For vaccinations and health check you'd be looking at £50-£80 approximately.
Then you need health insurance which is about £100-£200 per year for a medium sized mongrel.
Then you have to get it spayed so another £100.
Then you'd need a leash, a coat for the cold and wet, a bed/cage, general bits and pieces, food - so another £150 or so.
Hmm - so thats a total of around £400 excluding the cost of the puppy.

purchase price of puppy anything from £75 from rescue to £1000s
collar and lead
food
injections
identification chip
insurance
budget for a couple of insurance excesses
grooming equipment
toys
treats
bed
training course
bowls
A lot depends upon the breed, you could take a look at an online pet store such as pets at home and check prices
insurance is dependent upon breed
vet fees vary depending upon where you live
