Why have the German politicians let down the German Navy.?
Full marks to the German Navy for their action against Somali pirates, but why o why did the politicians order their release? Piracy is an international problem so why do the politicians in their bid to be "politically correct" bury their head in the sand?

Perhaps the german government wishes to continue to show the democratic world, that they are not ruthless, warmongering fascists, despite what some american films may have portrain their 1940s predecessors as?
In order to accomplish this, leniency, and mercy are perhaps useful actions...?
