Depends on their assigned mission.

When I was a reservist for awhile, certain members of my unit were activated to assist County officials, LEOs, and State Troopers along our Interstate highway during a bad snow storm.

We drove medical people to and from hospitals, we drove elderly to shelters, we helped LEOs with car accidents, we directed traffic exchange, used the vehicle's winch to pull cars back onto the shoulder of the road.
