Address bar only w/ IE8?!?!?

I installed IE8 and it froze up the internet every time I'd open it. I just spent the last 3 hours waiting on my computer to restore to Nov. 2008. Good news: Internet works now,

Bad News:

1. I only have an address bar (with the forward/backward arrows), to the right of that, the refresh/stop then yahoo search for some reason.

2. The top left, near the IE icon as well as the bottom tab (left click to minimize) has only the IE icon. It usually says "Yahoo! Answers" or something. It's blank.

3. I have no "File, view, tools......." toolbar.

4. Below that, there's usually the + for the favorites and that whole line. It's gone.

Tried looking all through the help guides but those are retarded and can't find the simple combo I'm supposed to push (I'm sure that's all it is). Thanks for your help if you have any.

Update:

Just noticed I cannot highlight, right click and hit copy/paste either. It's like it's dead!

    Try to do a repair install

    insert the operating system install cd or dvd and then boot the computer

    after the setup program loads up select the repair install option
