i think that harsher drugs such as cocaine, ect. should have harsher punishments. the thing is yes.. it is our body, but do people realize what those types of drugs do to the body. if people only saw what i see in the hospital i work at everyday i do believe they would change their minds about the punishment for illlict drugs.

I think it should have more appropriate penalties. Maybe we should have a special jail for addicts and when they can pass a rehab program, they get out.

Some of the current penalties are ridiculous, like a woman who lives with a drug dealer getting five years of hard time because the drugs were in the house where she resides. It doesn't matter if she had anything to do with the dealing or not or if they can even PROVE she had anything to do with the dealing. If there's drugs in the house, it's automatic felony possession.

They have enough penalties without laws and jail time. I think that you should be able to put whatever you want in your body.

And I think they should stop worrying about drug users and pay more attention to child abusers!

I think it's sad that drug crimes have harsher sentences in a lot of instances than voilent crimes. So no. A drug is a drug.

I think that they should go to rehab instead of jail. Bad things happen because of addicts in jail..
