Japanese Government Ten Centavos money?

When going through old family pictures to make a genology tree, we found what looked like play money that said "Japanese government ten centavos" in perfect condition.

anyone know what this is?

    They are from the Philippines. I have some of the same kind of money. While the traditional language of the Philippines is Tagalog, they were under Spanish control for a century or longer until the Spanish-American War (hence the Spanish and the use of a peso), when the USA took over the Philippines for three decades, adding the English component, until the Japanese took over. Hence the mixture. It's a great piece of history, it doesn't have that massive amount of value to it the last time I checked, but it's great to show the grandchildren and tell a story of history and war.
