I NOTICED THAT MY DOG LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT LATELY. I CAN SEE HIS RIB CAGE AND HIP BONES. HE IS NOT EATING AS MUCH, AND FROM WHAT I CAN TELL HE IS DRINKING ALOT OF WATER. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

The vet would have a great idea of what it might be. You need to take your dog in. If you can see the rib cage and hip bones, he has something going on that needs medical attention.

It might be worms. I would take the dog to the vet as soon as you can though, because it may be something very serious.

You might want to add more details, like how old your dog is and around how much weight it has lost.

You need a vet. Only they will be able to answer this question. There are many reasons for weight loss like this (especially in older dogs) and it will probably require blood tests to ascertain what it is.
