tvJapan on the Dish Network?

I ordered TV Japan from the Dish Network because I love NHK and Japanese programming. the one reason I ordered it was because I was told it was subtitle-able.

Everyone who has Japan TV that I've talked to watch it with English subtitles. I can't figure out how that's done or if it can be done...

anyone know how to subtitle a station or how to find out if the station offers subtitles?

    tv japan has hardly any subtitled shows, as it is mostly current NHK programming directed at Japanese expats, not a world service. Its strange that NHK would choose to do this when the other Asian world services like Korea's KBS World, have most of their programing subtitled.
