Cali's liberal tax & spend policies over the past 20 years has gotten them into this mess. Social programs have never been proven to be financially sustainable. Eliminating wasteful and unnecessary social programs while cutting taxes on business and individuals has always proven to be best for local economies not to mention job growth and employment

How does raising taxes help - if homelessness is rampant and many people are unemployed???? There are riots and looting in CA and the media makes no mention of this to the rest of the world. Let's try - CUTTING the Jackson memorial from the Los Angeles budget for one thing. Let's cut back on anything related to immigration such as health benefits and food stamps for illegals. Let's go back to a bare bones budget and spend only what is coming in and only spend it once we have it - that only makes sense. It's how to wisely run a personal budget and it's no different for the state or feds. Let's cut back on the prison spending - do they really need cable??? There is so much ridiculous waste that you could cut back on and would leave the state in the green without paying more taxes.

IF the governor would deport the illegals in California instead of giving them welfare , food stamps, heath care, wick , that would save California millions each year, but noooooooooooooo, the Terminator who is really a democrat in disguise, just keeps on being their nanny, then wonder why they are broke. Illegals has put terrible burdens on every states welfare systems, and they are also dipping into our social security of which they have never put one penny. The present Administration is going to give illegals FREE health care, no cost, exempt them from having to pay for their share. Obama needs votes, and the illegals ... what about 40 million plus are here and sponging off of us, is what Obama is depending on to commit voter fraud ..... again, to keep him in office. The Terminator needs to wise up, and send them packing back across the border... soon.

Building a fence across the Mex-CA border and ejecting all the illegals would go a long way to fix things. However, tho Arnold is 'labeled' Republican he is a very liberal Republican. He Did Not Stand up to his liberal congress and therefore, let CA go down the tubes.

I think they left it too late to do tax cuts etc to help their economy. The Liberals run that state and they have run it into the ground. Now they bought all new books for 1st-5th grade so they can teach That TED and JOHN are Ideal mummies and daddies. Wonder how much those books alone cost?

My sister-in-law just got a 2nd job so they can afford to send their kids to parochial school to avoid that.

Raise taxes and borrow. Arnold refused to allow the state to do that again. He insists on the state aligning spending with income. Even though state income has come down drastically in the last few years.
