How does anthropology complement psychology?

    Both involve humans or at least hominids.

    Psychology tends to investigate the inner workings of individuals and their effect on human behavior. There are exceptions to this, such as mob actions, warfare and the effects of mass media.

    Anthropology tends to study the social and cultural context of humans, especially in comparison with other societies and cultures. Again, there are exceptions; but it is more like looking at the Big Picture, not the individuals.
