Red light violation in CA?
I received a mailed traffic violation in CA for running a red light. There are pictures and an on-line video showing that I was at the first crosswalk line at 0.42 seconds after the light changed red and I continued on through the intersection. Does anyone know if there is a chance of me beating this ticket, or should I just plead guilty and ask for traffic school.

unless you can prove it was not you driving, you probably need to pay the fine

What don't you understand there?
The light turned red. It had been yellow before that. Almost a half second later, you ran it.

Since it shows that you ran the red light, if only by half a second, just pay it and take traffic school.

Same thing happened to me and I was advised just to accept it and take traffic school. Red light tickets are huge money-makers for cash-strapped California, so the police make sure that the tickets issued are almost guaranteed "wins" for them.
