SAT score 2320, what does that mean?

I'm not studying in the US, so I am not sure about the details of applying for college. Where can this score get me and what else do I need? What is GPA and ACT? Do I need to take the subject tests? Do my A levels factor into the application process?

First of all, congrats. 2320 is a great score on the SAT. The SAT is out of 2400, so 2320 is an excellent score.

The ACT is another test, kind of like the SAT, except that it actually tests you on your knowledge. I've heard it's very different, but I never took the ACT. It's just another standardized test though.

GPA is your grade point average. Different schools calculate the GPA differently. I'm sure you can search online to find how to calculate your GPA though.

Some schools require subject tests, but others don't. Look into the schools you want to go to and see if they require them. If they don't, then you don't need to.

I'm not quite sure what A levels are, sorry. I hope this helped a bit though. Great job again on your SAT score!

That's a good score... the max score is a 2400, if you have mostly A's (maybe one or two B's) that'll take you really good schools, if you have all A's and a consistent extracurricular activity it can take you some of the best Harvard, Stanford any of the Ivy's.

GPA is your grade point average, and A=4 pts, B=3 pts, C=2 pts, if you have Honors, AP, or Bacculate (sp.) add a point for each, you track the average grades you had for every year, then average all four years of highschool to find your grade point.

ACT is another aptitude test that colleges use to judge you for their admissions process.

I don't know what A levels are so I can't help you there, but you're certainly on the right path to get yourself there.

So what is a good SAT score? The exam consists of three parts: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. The scores from each section can range from 200 to 800, so the best possible total score is 2400. The average score for each section is roughly 500, so the average total score is about 1500.

Also, you might be able to get to Harvard.
