Do colleges take into account SAT attempts?

I didn't do that well for my first SAT attempt, it was 2050. But I managed to improve on my second try and I got 2320. Do colleges penalize me for attempting twice? When do admissions start in the US? I do not study in the US so I don't know.

Most colleges "superscore," meaning they take your highest reading, highest math, and highest writing scores, even if they are from different test administrations, and use them as your total. This benefits both you and the school (because they can show higher scores for their incoming class). They expect you to take the test two or three times, and as long as you show improvement, there are no issues with multiple test dates.

Admissions start in the summer and deadlines are usually in December or January depending on the school.

    Good luck!

In general, no they do not penalize you. (A possible exception would be if you took it a ridiculous number of times, but twice is definitely fine). In my experience, most applicants take the SAT twice. I took it once my junior year and once my senior year, and I don't believe it affected my admissions decisions (since I didn't get rejected by any of the 14 schools to which I applied).

By the way, your first SAT score isn't bad. I believe 1500 is the national average. For elite universities, that 2320 will mostly (if not entirely) overshadow the 2050.

Not at all; some US colleges would like to have all your scores and some like to see your highest attempt. I think admissions start in early November, with the exact dates from the college's website.

i think an identical way yet there is loopholes for occasion college board is down as a non-earnings corporation, and the ACT stops them from being a monopoly even although there is not any AP try equivalent.
